The Interquartile Range Calculator is a free to be used tool, made available online in order to help you display the interquartile range (IQR) for any given dataset.

In traditional Statistics, the interquartile range formula is used to measure the variability, which is entirely based on dividing the given data set into quartiles. The values that ideally divide the data set of each part are called first (1st), second (2nd) and third (3rd) quartiles represented by Q1, Q2, and Q3 respectively.

You might have heard of them at some point in your academic curriculum. The interquartile range is simply defined as the difference between the first and the third quartile (Q1-Q3).

Generally speaking, the interquartile range is used to measure the spread of the data. It popularly determines the outliers and the normal distribution of the data.

The procedure to use the interquartile range calculator is as follows:

Step 1: Simply enter the numbers separated by a comma in the respective input field.

Step 2: Subsequently, click the button “Calculate” to get the interquartile range.

Step 3: Finally, the interquartile range for the given dataset will be displayed in the new window or tab.
