This will provide squad members with the ability to quickly set down their mortar and adjust target locations. Thus, you can quickly get azimuth, range and required miles for any given target in the range.

The mortar markers on the map do not show up on the compass radar. So, the distance does not show up and when the SL uses a separate marker, you get a rounded number as such.
The SL can only place one marker. So, it either guides the mortar team or the others. Although since the distance is a rounded number, one can say you can still be too far off.
